It all started in 1994, when Barry Scott opened a small office in downtown Richmond Virginia with the vision to find new and innovative ways for retail agencies to access alternative markets. As the firm grew, so did its reputation for expertise in providing solutions for risks declined by the standard market. Today, with 25 years of solid commitment to retail agents in the Mid-Atlantic, Commonwealth Underwriters continues to grow while keeping pace with the ever changing market.
